Lambskin is thinner, softer and lighter than cowhide, with a smooth, buttery feel and a fine grain. It drapes well and needs little breaking in, which makes it ideal for everyday wear and warm weather. It is less abrasion-resistant than cowhide, so heavy-duty riders often choose cowhide or buffalo instead.
Lambskin marks a little more easily, so wipe it gently with a soft cloth, keep it away from sharp edges and condition it once or twice a year.
Every product page has its own men's or women's size chart. The simplest way to choose: lay a vest you like flat, measure across the chest and double it, then compare. Make sure the vest closes over the layer you'll wear underneath and, for riding, covers your belt line. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one.
