Choosing your suede leather vest
Suede is the inner side of the hide, brushed to a soft nap. It looks warmer and more casual than smooth leather and suits western, boho and festival looks. It needs more care in the rain, so for riding in all weather choose smooth leather instead.
Patches sewn on before it ships
Send us your patch designs, or tell us about the patches you already have, and mark where each one goes. We lay them out on the vest, confirm the placement with you and sew them with strong thread so they stay flat and straight. Sizing a custom suede leather vest
Measure your chest (or bust, waist and hips for a women's cut) over the layer you plan to wear underneath, and tell us your height so we get the length right. You can also send the measurements of a vest that already fits you well: lay it flat, measure across from armpit to armpit and double it. Our leather vest size chart shows how each size measures.
How the quote and making time work
Every custom vest is quoted on its own, because the price depends on the leather, the size, the details you choose and the patches we sew. We reply by email with the price and the making time for your design before you pay anything. Once your vest is made it is dispatched with tracking and usually arrives within 5-10 business days in the USA and worldwide. Standard shipping is free on orders over $150; below that it is a flat $40.
Returns on custom orders
Because a custom vest is made for you, it can't be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged or defective, or is not made as we agreed in your quote, contact info@leathersvest.com within 30 days with your order number and photos and we will put it right.
